Kr1pt drive dashboard

Turn your drive chaos into clean decks.

See every drive across your PCs and server, find duplicates, pool mixed disks and slide files into place. Free, private, on your machine.

Free download: opens when the repository goes publicPro: coming 28 Oct

Free forever. No account. Runs on your computer.

A rack of four drive bays with fill levels, blinking activity lights and VU meters bouncing with disk activity, beside a DJ crossfader sliding from MESSY to TIDY.
The drives, sizes and percentages in the picture are an illustration, not a real machine.

The 3 a.m. problem

Your C: drive is screaming red, and you have no clue what filled it.

Ten years of samples, raw video and tax docs live in five folders called "New Folder (3)".

One ageing disk is throwing quiet SMART errors in the dark, and your backup plan is "I hope it holds."

Play with it.

Drag the fader. Sample files only; your real ones never leave your machine.

0 of 24 files tidied. Duplicates found: 0.0 GB

Sample files and sample figures. Kr1pt finds duplicates and leaves them for you to review; it never deletes them. The Morning Mix is part of Pro, which arrives on 28 October; the free version proposes the same layout and you approve it yourself.

Everything others charge for, free.

Everything Unraid, WizTree and file sorters make you juggle, in one place, open source, on your own metal.

Kr1pt Pro: the decks mix themselves.

For $10 a month, wake up to sorted files, one-tap rollbacks and a new drop every month. It runs quietly on your gear and pauses cleanly if you ever stop.

  1. The Morning Mix

Overnight, a private local engine sorts your wild files. In the morning you approve with one crossfader per category.

  2. Rewind

Put your folders back exactly the way they sat on any earlier day. One tap.

  3. Monthly drops

Fresh deck skins, themes and tuned rule packs (music producer, YouTuber, photographer, small office), sent as download links.

  4. Drive Death Watch

First monthly drop. Watches each drive's health trend, warns you before one gives up, and lines up a verified evacuation plan.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Kr1pt is open source under Apache-2.0 on GitHub. It runs on your own hardware and needs no account.

What does Pro add?

Pro arrives on 28 October. It adds the overnight Morning Mix, one-tap Rewind and monthly skin and rule-pack drops, with Drive Death Watch as the first monthly drop. $10 a month.

Do my files leave my house?

Only if you send them. The one place they go is the cloud backup you set up yourself. Pro's sorting runs on your computer; it sends Gumroad your licence key, never your files.

What if I cancel?

Pro pauses, nothing breaks, and the free version keeps running.

Windows, Linux, Mac?

Windows today. Linux and macOS install scripts are included but not yet tested.

What if it moves something important?

Before proposing a move, Kr1pt checks your scheduled tasks, services, PATH, app settings and scripts, and leaves anything they point at in place. It only moves what you approve, logs every change, and Rewind or the undo log puts it back.

Drop the needle on your drives tonight.

Payments. Pro payments are processed by Gumroad. Perennos receives your licence status, not your card details.
